We are hiring EBook Editor and Proofreader
* The ideal candidate for this job is someone who has experience editing eBooks. They should be able to edit both fiction and nonfiction books, as well as have the ability to proofread the text. This person will also need to be able to work quickly and efficiently and communicate with clients via email.
* The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of content writing principles, with experience working on a wide range of digital projects. In addition, they must be able to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues.
Job Responsibilities:
· Your role will be to edit the eBooks’ content and proofread them before they are published.
· Editing eBooks in Microsoft Word using track changes and comments provides feedback on content flow and sentence structure.
· Formatting eBooks to convert text into a book format.
· Generating a table of contents for each eBook by scanning through the document and creating a list of all headings within the document.
· Creating an index for each eBook by scanning through the document and creating an alphabetized list of all key terms within the document.
Job Description:
· The required candidate must have a bachelor's degree, preferably O/A levels.
· They must have excellent grammar and syntax and be able to interpret the book's tone appropriately.
· The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of experience editing eBooks, and previous experience proofreading is preferred but not required.
· You should be able to work independently and take the initiative when necessary.
· The required candidate must have a strong background in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure.
· We need someone detail-oriented, confident in their abilities, and willing to work hard on tedious projects for many months (up to a year or more).
